What Is The Recovery From Temporal Muscle Reduction?

Q: Dr. Eppley, What is the recovery time for temporal muscle reduction? I suffer from migraines a lot, would Botox injections help shrink the temporal muscle?

A: It takes a good 2 to 3 weeks for the swelling to resolve. But there are no physical restrictions during the recovery.

My assumption in your questions is that you may be seeking temporal reductions for migraines?? If that is the case the important question is where is the location of the migraine pain in the temporal area? Knowing that information will determine whether surgical reduction or Botox  is the appropriate treatment.
