How Safe Is Skull Reshaping Surgery For Crown of Head Augmentation?

Q: Dr. Eppley, I am interested in Skull Reshaping. Although I am a petite person, I feel that my head is too small head and would like to add some height and volume to the crown of my head.  What is involved in this surgery and how safe is it?

A: You are referring to classic female crown of the head augmentation nusing custiom skull implants which I do regularly. There is no question about safety of the surgery. The more pertinent question is whether your desired result requires a one or two stage skull augmentation approach. (the latter is what most females need to achieve their desired result)
