Can The Whole Nose Be Vertically Shortened?
Q: Dr. Eppley, Is it possible to shorten the nose vertically? Most rhinoplasty results I have seen is because the tip is droopy or long. But in my case the bridge bone looks long and my nostril is lower than my tip. I haven’t seen it done but is it possible to cut/reduce the septal cartilage and reposition the nostril. I hated the way it look long from the front , it looks too far from my eyes.
A:While tip rotation involves making the tip shorter and more uplifted which is a common rhinoplasty change you are referring to a whole nose vertical shortening which is not possible.
