Can My Temporal Arteries Be Ligated?
Q: Dr. Eppley, Can my visible temporal arteries be ligated? I have attached pictures.
A: These are classic prominent temporal arterial branches that are takeoffs of the main temporal artery. (not the more common anterior branch of the superficial temporal artery) But regardless of this anatomic variation they can be successfully ligated.
