Can My Eyebrows Be Lowered?
Q: Dr. Eppley, Is it possible to use a method similar to forehead reduction/facelift to shift down the eyebrows, then use filler in the upper eyelids to create a straight eyebrow and full hooding effect similar to that of Sean O’Pry? When I move the upper half of my forehead down with my hand my eyebrows move to the position I’m looking for them to be in if this helps.
A:First I would be cautious about assuming what you can do with your hand is what can be accomplished surgically….it is often doesn’t work that way. That being said what you are referring to is a revere browlift…releasing the entire scalp and forehead tissues and shifting them downward. While that can be done there are two issues with doing so….1) what is going to hold them there and 2) what is going to prevent relapse with naturally tighter tissues in a young patient. But theoretically that approach would seemingly be effective.
