Can Buttock and Calf Implants Be Done During The Same Surgery?
Q: Dr. Eppley, Can buttock and calf implants be done together? Do the buttock implants cause more swelling in the lower legs than the calf implants alone?
A: I have done body implants during the same surgery and the buttock implants do not cause any additional lower extremity swelling over the calf implants in the patients I have seen.What is more relevant to preoperatively consider is the recovery. It takes a special patient to undergo that combination. They exist but this combination should only be for the most motivated of patients who has had surgery before.
