Can A Split Tragus From A Piercing Be Repaired?
Q: Dr. Eppley, My tragus piercing split almost a year ago. Is there any form of surgery that could help covering or fix the cleft? I am really uncomfortable and insecure with it. Thank you.
A: Just like a split earlobe, a split tragus can be equally repaired. The cleft tragalskin can be excised and put back together. The underlying split cartilage also needs to be put back together.
